Meet the Team

Marion Gibson, Practice Manager

Marion GibsonIn her role at our dental office, Marion enjoys getting to know each patient individually, providing them with the best information possible and helping them feel at ease. She also strives to anticipate our dentists’ needs and provides gentle and quick, yet thorough, assisting skills. Marion has more than 25 years of experience in the dental field and possesses a Certificate III in Dental Assisting and a Certificate IV in Oral Health. Outside the practice, Marion enjoys spending time with her teenage children and watching them play sport. She also likes going on holidays at the beach and in the snow.

Dr Carol Tran, Oral Health Therapist

carol-tranCarol was inspired to become an oral health therapist from her previous experiences as a patient. “I had ‘nursing bottle caries’ when I was young, which meant I had to have a general anaesthetic to have treatment done.” Her experience has motivated her to help others prevent oral diseases from occurring in the first place. She loves helping her patients become healthy. To prepare for her career, Carol earned a Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Melbourne in 2008 and then a PhD from the University of Queensland in 2017. She gives lectures on numerous topics for oral health therapists and dental hygienists. Carol also attends research, continuing education and specialists meetings around the world. She serves as a Director for the Dental Hygienists’ Association of Australia. Outside of work, Carol enjoys baking and eating out.

Katelyn Lane, Dental Assistant

Katelyn LaneIn her role at the practice, Katelyn loves to help patients smile brightly. “The most fulfilling aspect of my profession is seeing the great quality of work being provided to our clients in need.” Katelyn graduated from the Queensland Institute of Technology in 2010. She possesses a Certificate III in Dental Assisting and had the opportunity to become a dental assistant through a school-based traineeship. To stay abreast of the latest in the field, Katelyn regularly takes continuing education courses. When she’s not working, Katelyn enjoys driving on the beach, getting coffee with friends and going to the gym.

Nelly IduteyteraNelly Iduteyiteka, Dental Assistant

Originally planning to become a nurse, Nelly decided to try something different that was out of her comfort zone. She is in the process of earning a Certificate III in Dental Assisting and finds it gratifying to learn from “the best and most experienced dentists” here at My Dentist. When she’s not at the practice, Nelly enjoys playing basketball and AFL football and going out with friends.

Lucinda Booth, Dental Nurse

Lucinda BoothAs a dedicated dental nurse, Lucy provides compassionate, high-quality care to her patients. She finds it particularly gratifying to get phobic patients to commit to obtaining dental treatment and see them walk out smiling. Lucy first started working as a dental nurse in 2002 after applying for a position in her hometown. She has loved the field ever since and earned a Certificate III in Dental Assisting in 2004. In addition, she has taken a surgical assistant program. Outside the practice, Lucy enjoys camping and kayaking. She also loves spending time with family and friends.
