Teeth Grinding and Clenching

Signs of Teeth Grinding and Clenching

Often, a person many even grind or clench their teeth during moments of stress or intense concentration, such as when driving a car. This habit leads to excessive use of the teeth and jaw muscles, resulting in some of the following symptoms:

  • Chipped, broken, or worn-down teeth
  • Frequent headaches
  • Broken fillings or crowns
  • Jaw or facial pain, particularly upon waking
  • The development of jaw joint disorders, such as TMD/TMJD
